Scripture describes the church as a body (Colossians 1:24) and as a family (Galatians 6:10). The Christian life is a life together. Living together presupposes sending time together, but that is made more difficult because we are geographically scattered.

If we are to spend more time together, we need to be intentional about it. One way is to invite others to join us in our daily lives. In the summer if you are planning a day at the beach, or in winter a day of cross-country skiing, a visit to a museum, a concert, a play, go on a picnic, or whatever you have planned, invite others to join you.

To be intentional about it, consider sharing your plans with the congregation. Since so many of us already use Facebook, the elders are encouraging you to add your plans to the church’s Facebook page and invite others to join you.
